This facilty is Woolworths first automated online customer fulfilment centre in Australia. This project has a range of structural features including 6000sqm of mezzanine steel and concrete floors, a suspended concrete external hardstand, 16.8m high warehouse ridge, and ground improved foundations to suit the automated racking requirements. The roof was also designed for full solar loading. Within the automation equipment are a series of cold storage compartments with insulated panel ceilings hung from the main structure. A series of transfer beams and trusses were incorporated into the structural design to allow flexibility for the kilometres of conveyor and material handling infrastructure throughout the warehouse.
