One of the warehouses has a giant 21m cantilevered awning supported off the end wall. The two warehouse awnings have been futureproofed to allow for a massive 72m wide breezeway between the two warehouses. Careful consideration was put into the bracing systems for both buildings to account for this and future footings were also placed in preparation for the potential 60m long transfer truss that would be required to support this breezeway. This futureproofing scenario and 3800mm high D&C geogrid retaining walls located only 1800mm from the building perimeter brought some detailed complexity to the design.
